Extra info/services

We are pleased to offer any help or advice you may need, either before booking to aid your decision making or maybe you've already booked but have a question before you come, or of course anything that crops up whilst you are here. Be it information about traveling to or in Cornwall, what's around in our immediate area, more info about our properties or farm specifically or just whether you need to bring tea towels or not when you come (you' don't by the way!) please do call or email and we will try our best to give you all the help you need, or knock on the farmhouse door when you're here, or drop us a text, and we'll be happy to help.

Fishing may be available at h eappropriate times of year on our long stretch of the Camel by arrangement. You will need a rod license and as we have salmon and sea trout you will need the appropriate license to fish them. Please let us know if this is an area of interest and we can have a more specific conversation. We only make a minimal charge to fish.

Talk to us about walking in the area - there are endless walks and whilst we provide a wide range of OS maps in the cottages and B&B we are always happy to help with a little local knowledge or perhaps even a guided walk if you prefer. We are also happy to offer a drop and collect service for a reasonable fee for those wishing to walk stretches of the coast path or other non-round walks. Please discuss and we can make suitable arrangements for you - so much more interesting than having to turn round and walk back the way you came!

Activities abound in Cornwall but if we can help with any ideas or booking for you then please do ask. Surf lessons, coasteering, Horse riding and go-karting are just some of many things to do. We may be able to offer reasonably priced Clay pigeon shooting sessions here at the farm by arrangement if that grabs your fancy- please enquire, ideally with a bit of notice. Your Cornish Horizons Privilege card may offer you some useful discounts for places of interest so do check that out and we are also trying to build up some local relationships with providers directly for our customers. Likewise if you need help with booking restaurants or taxis etc please just ask.

If you require any disability or baby equipment to be hired, we may be able to either provide direct or help you organise this - please ask.

If you would like to make a romantic gesture and arrive to flowers and bubbly and chocs, or whatever you like, again please do ask and we can arrange this for you for a very reasonable price and to your specific requirements.

PLEASE SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES - We do have shops in Cornwall! All too often the A30 is full of cars rammed with supermarket bags from home but this is so uneccessary and does nothing for the Cornish community. You are welcome to visit your usual online grocery store and arrange a delivery to your cottage prior to or during your stay, or why not consider Blisland or St Tudy's Community Shop and Post Offices? We understand sometimes we all need a supermarket, but at least use the ones down here and you can't beat the local baked bread, pasties and cakes, cornish meats and free range eggs and plenty more that you'll find in all the villlage shops and the wide selection of independent shops in and around the local towns so please use them too! Amen!

We also have pleasure in stocking a supply of award winning local sausages from Tamblyns of Cornwall,  previously used for our breakfasts in the B&B but still usually available in packs of 6 to all our self catering visitors for just the price on the pack (only similar to supermarket sausages!) With enough notice we can supply any of their delicious varieties, but we usually stock our favourites which are the tasty traditional/breakfast pork, the pork and leak, pork with sun-dried tomato, basil and Parmesan and the pork with smoked garlic and wild mushroom. We enjoy these artisan sausages as they do still taste of a good quality, mid-courseness pork sausage, but with a little something interesting, rather than overpowering with poncy flavours and unrecognisable as a sausage - that's what we think anyway, but try for yourself! Trouble with wheat/gluten? Don't worry, there is even a sausage for you, so no need to miss out! We can also supply West Country bacon and local free range eggs, local baked bread and Cornish butter - all you need for those holiday breakfasts, ready in the fridge when you arrive or delivered to your door whilst your here - just let us know.

Generally, anything we can do to help, we endeavour to do so. Don't be shy, just ask - we can only say no after all. :)
